<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell in which supply of a fuel and discharge (purge) of residues at starting can be carried out without using an external power supply. <P>SOLUTION: This fuel cell is provided with a first magnetic valve 44 for closing and opening a first passage 34a of the fuel supply path, a second passage 34b for bypassing a second magnetic valve 46, a first manual operation valve 48 arranged in the second passage 34b, a sixth passage 62b for bypassing a third magnetic valve 64 for closing and opening a fifth passage 62a which is a passage for purge, and a second manual operation valve 66 arranged in the sixth passage 62b. At the starting of the fuel cell 12, while hydrogen gas is supplied to the fuel cell 12 by opening the first manual operation valve 48, the residues in the fuel cell 12 are discharged (purged) by opening the second manual operation valve. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
