<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an inflating and spreading property of an air bag bag body by restraining interference of the inflating and spreading air bag bag body with an occupant, an instrument panel, etc. <P>SOLUTION: This occupant knee part protection device for a vehicle devised to protect a knee part B of the occupant A by inflating and spreading the air bag body 11 folded and arranged in front of the knee part B of the occupant A by gas to be supplied from an inflator 12 at the time of collision of the vehicle is provided with a spreading promoting means to promote inflation and spreading of an instrument panel side base cloth 11a on the air bag bag body 11 in comparison with inflation and spreading of an occupant side base cloth 11b at the time of inflating and spreading the air bag body 11.
