<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an inexpensive alkaline storage battery having a large battery capacity, and provide a positive electrode for the alkaline storage battery in which the fault in battery leak is prevented at the time of manufacture thereof and the yield is reduced, and a process for manufacturing the positive electrode, as well as an alkaline storage battery comprising the positive electrode. <P>SOLUTION: A conductive metal support processed in a three-dimensional manner is prepared (step S1), and an active material component is generated (step S2). Next, a PTFE component and a rubber component are each generated, as polymer components, in an aqueous dispersion form (steps S3 and S4). Then, the active material component and the polymer components in an aqueous dispersion form are mixed to prepare paste (step S5). The paste is applied to a surface of the conductive metal support (step S6), the resulting support is dried (step S7) and rolled (step S8), and, thereafter, the cutting of an electrode plate and connection of a lead are carried out (step S9) to obtain a positive electrode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
