PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device each for setting the front and the rear of confectionery right giving only slight impact to the confectionery and allowing a wide applicable shape range. SOLUTION: This device is composed of a roll 3 with a soft surface sorting the front and the rear of confectionery 1 carried on a first conveyor 2 through working together with the first conveyor 2 and rotating in the opposite direction to the first conveyor 2; a second conveyor 4 conveying in order the confectionery 1 whose front and rear are sorted by the first conveyor 2, and the roll 3 with the soft surface and a flat surface is put upward; a second shoot 6 with a recessed curved surface arranged so as to surround the back end of the second conveyor 4 and leading the confectionery 1 to the lower part while reversing the confectionery; a first shoot 5 arranged adjacently to the back end of the first conveyor 2 and leading to the lower part the confectionery 1 whose front and rear are sorted by the first conveyor 2 and whose flat face is directed downward; and a third conveyor 7 conveying in order the confectionery 1 whose front and rear are sorted by the first conveyor 2 and the roll 3 with the soft surface and which again confluents through the first shoot 5 and the second shoot 6.
