PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-component developer excellent in low-temperature fixability and anti-offset properties and excellent also in storage stability and a spent (toner sticking to the surface of carrier) resistance. SOLUTION: In the two-component developer comprising a mixture of a toner and a carrier, the toner is prepared by dispersing a coloring pigment, a wax and a fatty acid amide in a binder resin comprising a polyester resin and has a maximum endothermic peak temperature of 70-80°C in DSC (differential scanning calorimetric) measurement, and the carrier has a coating layer containing a fatty acid amide on a particle surface. The two-component developer is excellent in low-temperature fixability and anti-offset properties, is excellent also in storage stability and spent resistance, and can stably form fog-free images of good quality over a long period of time.
