PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric resonator capable of reducing a conductor loss thereby improving the electric characteristic and enhancing the productivity. SOLUTION: In the dielectric resonator wherein a ground electrode is adhered to at least one principal face of a layered body comprising three stacked dielectric layers or over, a transmission line arranged opposed to the ground electrode on the one principal face with a plurality of dielectric layers inbetween is formed in the inside of the layered body, and the transmission line and the ground electrode on the one principal face are electrically connected via a connection conductor formed by interconnecting via-hole conductors embedded in each of the dielectric layers, and the connection conductor is formed such that the size of the cross sectional area in a direction orthogonal to the stacked direction of the layered body is gradually increased by each via-hole conductor from the transmission line toward the ground electrode on the one principal face.
