PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label sticking device having an enhanced label sticking accuracy by enhancing the detection accuracy at the time of detecting a label and surely detecting the label. SOLUTION: In the label sticking device 6 equipped with a transport means that moves belt-like base paper sheet 4 in a given direction on which labels 5 are provisionally stuck and with a peeling member 29 that peels off the labels 5 from the base paper sheet 4 by turning back the base paper sheet 4, the device is further provided with a label transfer means 21 at the upstream side of the peeling member 29 for provisionally peeling off the labels 5 from the base paper sheet 4 moved by the transport means and sticking the provisionally peeled labels 5 back to the base paper sheet from which the labels are peeled and a label detecting means 23 for detecting the labels 5 provisionally peeled off by the label transfer means 21.
