PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical rim wheel that can improve driving comfort and calmness, which are major points of requirement for automobiles. SOLUTION: A plural number of lid units 20 are installed in the circumference direction on the outer surface of a rim 16, while partition walls are formed inside lid members 20, so that a plural number of subordinate air chambers 32 are constituted in the circumference direction between the rim 16 and lid members 20. A main air chamber 18 of a tire is linked with lid members 20 through a gap, composed as a linkage channel, with lid members 20. Since a Helmholtz resonator is constituted by the subordinate air chamber 32 and the gap, it is possible to absorb vibration of specific frequencies. In addition, because the subordinate air chamber 32 is not in the form of a ring continuing in the circumference direction, the generation of cave resonance sound is curbed, so that the sound muffling effect is considerable.
