PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the so-called seamless rod-shaped member, wherein a uniform cell diameter is achieved as a whole, and a seam (joint) is not caused by the parting line of split molds. SOLUTION: The seamless rod-shaped member is constituted of a rod-shaped body part 46 comprising a thermosetting resin after thermally cured and a jacket 12 comprising a thermoplastic resin after solidified and integrally molded so as to cover to rod-shaped body part 46. Herein, the thermosetting resin is a mechanically or chemically foamed body and the rod-shaped body part 46 is obtained as an open-cell structure.
