PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect lip channel steel on one side with a steel frame member on the other side by crossing them orthogonally and mutually to obtain high connection strength with satisfactory workability by a comparatively simple configuration. SOLUTION: This connection mechanism of the steel frame member is composed of the lip channel steel 2, 3 arranged so as to cross orthogonally and mutually and an L-shaped fitting 7 arranged in a connection part of the lip channel steel 2, 3. Semi-circular screw fitting clearance holes 15, 16 are formed in lip parts 12, 14 of the lip channel steel 2, and semi-circular screw fitting clearance holes 19, 20 are formed in lip parts 17, 18 of the lip channel steel 3. Screw insertion holes 21, 22 are formed in a flat plate part 5 on one side of the L-shaped fitting 7, and screw insertion holes 23, 24 are formed in a flat plate part 6 on the other side crossing the flat plate part 5 orthogonally. A plurality of bolts 8 and nuts 9 tighten the lip parts and each flat plate part of the L-shaped fitting through the screw fitting clearance holes and the screw insertion holes.
