A media matrix for a separator, such as an air/oil separator, is described. The media matrix can be used as a coalescing stage, as a drain stage or both. In general the media matrix comprises a glass fiber media matrix having an aqueous based resin system. Preferably a binding agent is present, for example an inorganic binding agent such as alum. Methods of preparation are provided. |
