It is possible to realize processing not deteriorating a signal without increasing the transmission load. Parameter information such as a compression parameter, a decoding parameter, an edition parameter is correlated to unique information (UMID) and stored in a database. The unique information is added to material data (baseband signal) which has been subjected to decoding processing (decode for compression) for edition, when transmitted. When editing or re-encoding the material data, parameter information relating to the past processing is acquired from the database by using the unique information as a key and the parameter information is referenced so as to execute signal processing without deterioration.
