<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the consumed current of a battery by predicting a period when there is no possibility of receiving data thereby stopping the operation of a data decoding section. <P>SOLUTION: The random access receiver discriminates the propriety of a reception state of a signal from a base station and discriminates whether or not a likelihood value is smaller than a threshold value, the likelihood value being obtained by decode processing of a TFCI included in a secondary common control physical channel (SCCPCH) received from the base station, when the reception state is excellent and the likelihood value is smaller than the threshold value, a no-reception discrimination section 11 discriminates no reception interval to stop the operation of a decoding section 8 of a mobile station, and when the reception state is excellent and the likelihood value is greater than the threshold value or the reception state is bad, the no-reception discrimination section 11 activates the decoding section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
