PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an open type disposable diaper capable of preventing the mutual slip movement of the side flaps of front and rear girth regions overlapped with each other during wearing but also the slip-down of the diaper from a wearing position. SOLUTION: The open type disposable diaper 1 has an excretion absorbing zone 5 extending from a crotch region 3 to the front and rear girth regions 2 and 4, the side flaps 6,7 and 8 positioned outside the lateral direction of the zone 5 to extend longitudinally and the end flaps 9 and 10 positioned outside the longitudinal direction of the zone 5 to extend laterally. In the diaper 1, the side flaps 6 of the front girth region 2 are formed from a composite nonwoven fabric 17 wherein a first fiber nonwoven fabric positioned on a skin non-contact side and a second fiber nonwoven fabric positioned on a skin contact side are overlapped with each other and the coefficient of dynamic friction of the first fiber nonwoven fabric is higher than that of the second fiber nonwoven fabric.
