PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost portable electric tool with a hook to be easily switchable to the right and left. SOLUTION: The hook 20 is provided with a hook main body 21, a hook shaft part 22 extended from the hook main body 21, and a spherical stopper part 23 extended from the hook shaft part 22. A hook holding part 9 formed in a portable electric tool main body 1 is provided with a through hole 10 to be hooked on the hook shaft part 22, a spherical recessed part 12 formed by recessing a central part of the through hole 10 to fit on the spherical stopper part 23, and a groove part 11 forming the through hole 10 opened in the radial direction. Opening width W<SB>1</SB>of the groove part 11 is formed narrower than the width W<SB>2</SB>of the hook shaft part 22 so that the opening width W<SB>1</SB>is enlarged more than the width W<SB>2</SB>of the hook shaft part by elastic deformation when the predetermined load or more is applied.
