PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an energy consumption by miniaturizing the whole device while efficiently evaporating a liquid. SOLUTION: In a steam washer in which an article to be washed is washed by generating a steam, and transferring the steam up to a nozzle and injecting a steam current from a discharge opening for the nozzle; the washer has a block composed of a material having a large thermal conductivity while having a communicating hole in which both ends are formed to the outside in a communicable manner, and a heating means for heating the block. In the washer, the block is heated by the heating means while the liquid is charged into the through-hole, and the liquid charged into the through-hole is evaporated and the steam is generated.
