PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a draining apparatus for fiber raw material having improved draining effect. SOLUTION: The draining apparatus 1 for a fiber raw material is provided with the 1st drum filter 4 and the 2nd drum filter 5. The 1st and 2nd drum filters 4, 5 are rotated at different rotational directions to approach the 1st and 2nd drum filters in the fiber raw material in the vessel 2 and separate above the water surface of the fiber raw material. The fiber raw material attached to the outer surface of the 1st drum filter 4 and the fiber raw material attached to the outer surface of the 2nd drum filter 5 are exposed between the 1st drum filter 4 and the 2nd drum filter 5. The rotational speed of the 1st drum filter 4 is made to be slower than that of the 2nd drum filter 5 to remove the fiber raw material attached to the outer surface of the 1st drum filter 4 with a doctor blade 7.
