PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid an abnormal increase in pump supply pressure with a simple structure when a steering wheel reaches the stationary steering end or hits on a curbstone during the operation of a power cylinder, in a power steering device. SOLUTION: In the power steering device 10 having a control valve 20 in which a rotary spool 23 is fitted in a sleeve 24 and both of them are coaxially arranged enabling relative displacement corresponding to steering torque, a communicating means 50 for communicating between a supply longitudinal groove 41 adjacent to the rotary spool 23 on the outer face and the return longitudinal groove 40A is provided.
