PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass plate perforating method capable of accurately perforating a glass plate for a short time without bending the glass plate and simplified in constitution not only to suppress a production cost low but also to easily perform arranging work, and a glass plate perforating apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: This glass plate perforating apparatus 1 is equipped with a hole forming head 4 for forming through-holes 3 to the regions P1 and P2 of the glass plate 2, a support stand 9 equipped with a support surface 5 wide enough to simultaneously support the vicinities of the regions P1 and P2 of the glass plate 2 to which the through-holes 3 must be formed by the hole forming head 4 and a rotary means 6 for rotating the support surface 5 in an R-direction with respect to the hole forming head 4 in order to arrange the region P2 of the glass plate at a position where the through-holes 3 are formed by the hole forming head 4.
