Data is captured by means of predefined breaks in metallic tracks/wires. Data is read by means of a magnetic reading head in a cycle of shorter and longer induction pulses. Data is stored in digital form in a written section (1) with short and long sections for zeros and ones. Tracks (2) still not written accept new data, e.g. a second layer contains very thin, narrow metallic tracks/wires.
