摘要 PURPOSE: A door locking apparatus using a card approach detection is provided to elongate a battery usage and to reduce power consumption by supplying power only when a card approach is detected. CONSTITUTION: A door locking apparatus using a card approach detection supplies power to a card reader only when the card approach is detected. The door locking apparatus includes a card reader(118), an infrared emitter(104), a power source(112), a power supply(106), an infrared receiver(108), an operational switch(120), a door lock(114), a motor driver(116), and a controller(110). The power source supplies an operational power. The power supply supplies or blocks the power to the infrared emitter according to a power application control signal. The infrared receiver outputs a detect signal. The operational switch supplies or blocks the power of the power source to the card reader. The door lock locks or releases the door. The controller outputs the power application control signal in a predetermined time interval, outputs an operational signal to the operational switch when the detect signal is received, and outputs the operational signal to the motor driver when authentication information is received from the card reader.
