DEVICE AND A METHOD FOR INPUTTING KOREAN ALPHABET BY USING A DUAL MODE, ESPECIALLY RELATED TO DISPLAYING A SYLLABLE STRING HAVING HIGH PROBABILITY BY CALCULATING CONNECTIVE PROBABILITIES AMONG GENERATED SYLLABLES

摘要

PURPOSE: A device and a method for inputting Korean alphabet by using a dual mode are provided to calculate connective probabilities among syllables based on a probability of generation of inputted syllables, and to display a syllable string having a high probability, thereby inputting an exact word. CONSTITUTION: A key input unit(100) comprises predetermined keys assigned with plural graphemes and function keys for converting into a syllable input mode or a vowel input mode. A memory(300) stores syllables generated through the key input unit(100), and stores the completed syllables with a probability of generation of the syllables. A probability calculator(200) calculates connective probabilities among the syllables by using the probability of generation of the syllables. A controller(400) controls to display a corresponding syllable string according to the connective probabilities, or controls to display a selected consonant or a vowel grapheme only in the vowel input mode.
