<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording material with excellent water resistance and light resistance, and high color development density. <P>SOLUTION: This thermal recording material is provided with a thermal color-developing layer which contains a normally colorless or light-colored color-developing compound, and a developing compound capable of making the color-developing compound develop a color in thermal time.
