<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method by an electrophotographic system capable of efficiently preventing image flow and an image forming apparatus used for use of the image forming method. <P>SOLUTION: The the humidity near a photosensitive drum is measured before the execution of a concentration adjusting process and (i) if the humidity is below a permissible value, a first toner pattern for concentration adjustment is formed on the surface of the photosensitive drum and the developing bias voltage at the time of image formation processing is set based on the toner concentration of the toner pattern. Also, (ii) if the humidity near the photosensitive drum exceeds the permissible value, the second toner pattern for concentration adjustment continued for one circumference is formed in the circumferential direction of the photosensitive drum and further if the toner concentration of the second toner pattern for the concentration adjustment is above the set value, the developing bias voltage is set based on the toner concentration and if the toner concentration of the second toner pattern for the toner concentration is below the set value, aging processing is executed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
