<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method by an electrophotographic system capable of efficiently preventing image flow and an image forming apparatus used for use of the image forming method. <P>SOLUTION: A toner pattern for concentration adjustment is formed on the surface of a photosensitive drum and (i) if the toner concentration of the toner pattern is above a set value, a developing bias voltage at the time of image formation processing is set based on the toner concentration and (ii) if the toner concentration is below the set value, the humidity near the photosensitive drum is measured and further if the humidity exceeds the permissible value, the toner pattern for detecting the image flow is formed on the surface of the photosensitive drum. As a result, the shifting to an image formation processing process can be rapidly carried out and the deterioration of the photosensitive drum by excessive aging processing can be prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
