PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening/closing device having a high energy efficiency capable of recycling kinetic energy produced by movement of an opening/closing member such as a door and a window and minimizing power supply from outside. SOLUTION: The opening/closing device comprises the opening/closing member freely openably held in an opening and urged to the opening or closing direction by an urging force, a retaining means 59 for keeping the opening/closing member in a closed or opened state against the urging force, an actuator 60 for releasing the retaining means 59, a secondary battery means 62 for feeding a driving force to the actuator 60, a switching means 7 for activating the actuator 60 and a driving power generation means 57 for driving the opening/closing member against the urging force and generating power by the kinetic energy produced by movement of the opening/closing member caused by the urging force.
