PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable complete mesh of outsidemost inside links with sprocket teeth. SOLUTION: A link train each having a pair of opening holes and laminated in the directions of the length and thickness consists of the plurality of inside links 121, 122, 123 pivotally connected together via connection pins inserted into the opening holes, and guide links 120, 120' each having a pair of opening holes are fixed to the connection pins at the outside of the link train in every two lines. On both side of the chain, spacer elements are provided which are arranged between each of the guide links 120, 120' and each of the outsidemost inside links 122, 123 neighboring them for maintaining a spaced relationship between each of the guide links 120, 120' and each of the outsidemost inside links 122, 123. At least one of the spacer elements is a spring link 332 for operating thrust between the inside links neighboring each other in the direction of the thickness to generate frictional force.
