PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a methane fermentation processing method by which optimum pace of increasing load of organic waste in methane fermentation treatment can be decided and good fermentation conditions can be maintained. SOLUTION: In a high temperature methane fermentation processing method by which the organic waste is charged in a methane fermentation tank and methane fermentation by anaerobic microorganisms is carried out, an increasing rate of charging load of the organic waste is adjusted to be≤1.3 times/day at the time of stationary operation of the methane fermentation tank. Further when the charging load is increased until it reaches target charging load of the organic waste, the increasing rate of charging load of the organic waste is adjusted to be≥1.1 times/day and≤1.3 times/day.
