PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil recovery apparatus for recovering oil floating on water surface in which the stagnation of oil near an oil collection port is reduced resulting in increase in an oil recovery rate and reduction in maintenance work and the occurrence of troubles. SOLUTION: The oil recovery apparatus for recovering oil floating on water surface is provided with a floating means which floats on the water surface and supports the oil recovery apparatus, an oil suction means which is supported by the floating means and an oil collection means which has the oil collection port, collects the oil from the oil collection port and guides the oil to the suction means, wherein modification for increasing the fluidity of the oil is performed, for instance, the shape of the upper end part of an oil collecting weir which is located on the upper part of the oil collecting means and forms the oil collecting port is made round.
