PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user-friendly grill capable of notifying a user that a preheating operation is completed by a notification action and starting to heat objects to be heated at an appropriate timing in the case of preheating without having to perform special operations except operations intrinsically required for cooking, such as an operation for commanding a heating means to start heating and the operation of bringing the objects to be heated into a grill chamber. SOLUTION: The grill is provided with both the heating means 3 for heating the objects to be heated placed on an object-to-be-heated placing part 17 provided on the inside of the grill chamber 11 and a control means for controlling an operating state. A temperature detection means 20 for discriminating the states of placement is provided at different sections at which the states of temperature are different associated with the heating of the heating means 3 according to the presence or absence of the objects to be heated in the object-to-be-heated placing part 17. The control means H executes a notification process to actuate a notification means for notification when the notification conditions of the completion of a preheating operation are satisfied in the case that the temperature detected by the temperature detection means 20 at the start of heating by the heating means 3 is lower than a set temperature for the discrimination of an initial operation and that the state of a change in temperature detected afterward by the temperature detection means 20 associated with the heating means 3 is the state of a change in which the objects to be heated are not placed on the object-to-be-heated placing part 17.
