PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoacoustic probe for detecting a wide range of signals emitted from the surface and from the deep part of an object to be measured simultaneously and highly accurately. SOLUTION: The photoacoustic probe 23 is composed of a photoirradiation section 3 using optical fibers 22 and a detector comprising piezoelectric elements. The detectors 1 and 2 of different diameters are installed at different height positions concentrically on a plurality of concentric regions 4a and 4b, which are arranged so that the diameters of the concentric regions become larger as the height positions of the concentric regions get close to the object to be measured, so that the detectors are deflected from the optical axis of the photoirradiation section 3. The photoirradiation section 3 is arranged in the center of the concentric regions 4a and 4b and the front surface 3a of the photoirradiation section 3 is placed at a distance from the object 27 to be measured.
