PURPOSE:To improve the emitting characteristics of an ink liquid by uniformizing an air stream, by providing an electrode for determining the potential of the ink in an ink emitting orifice to the wall surface of an air chamber being the route of the air stream in an ink jet recording head. CONSTITUTION:An ink nozzle plate 30 is not drawn out into an air chamber 90 and comprises a long oval shape flat plate while electrodes 151-154 are led to the outside of a body member 130 along the wall surface of the air chamber 90. There is no obstacle between the air chamber 90 and an air layer 70 and a sufficiently uniformized air stream is uniformly flowed into the air chamber 90 from the total periphery of the air layer to smooth the air streams flowed out from air emitting orifices 101-104 while reducing irregularity between the air emitting orifices. Therefore, the emitting characteristics of an ink liquid is well and a multi-nozzle head reduced in irregularity between nozzles can be formed. The electrodes 151-154 are led to the side surface of the body member 130 but can be drawn out to the side where an ink supply pipe 60 is present without limiting to the side surface. |
