PURPOSE: A frame color changing apparatus for a television is provided to variously change a frame color of the television by applying an electrochromic device whose color is changed depending on variation of a voltage to some frame or the whole frame of the television according to user's selection or a predetermined condition. CONSTITUTION: A frame color changing apparatus for a television includes a frame structure(10) constituting appearance of the television, an electrochromic device(20) provided on some surface of the frame structure to change color depending on an applied voltage, a transparent protective layer(30) protecting the electrochromic device, and a variable power supplier(40) applying a predetermined voltage to the electrochromic device depending on an external control signal. The electrochromic device consists of either a double substrate type or a single substrate type, and its basic color and another color changed when applying a voltage are determined depending on types of used electrochromic layers.
