<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel battery system which can swiftly be started on starting at a temperature below freezing point. <P>SOLUTION: The subject fuel reforming system is provided with a combustor 7 for starting and a heat exchanger 12 heating water fed to each reactor and a reformer for reforming fuel. On starting of the system, a high temperature gas is generated for the purpose of heating each reactor to a prescribed temperature by the combustor 7 for starting. Further, the high temperature gas is allowed to perform heat exchange with a water passage pipe 19 provided at the inside of the heat exchanger 12, and water at the inside of the water passage pipe 19 is heated. On starting at a temperature below freezing point, ice at the inside of the water passage pipe 19 can swiftly be melted, and the water is fed to the reformer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
