<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid vehicle with excellent drivability which selects various modes corresponding to its running speed, and to a traction force or braking force necessary at that point, effectively uses an engine brake if necessary, and stores two motors compactly. <P>SOLUTION: One internal combustion engine and two motor generators are connected through a rotating shaft in the coaxial structure. An engaged and disengaged clutch is respectively provided between the motor generators and the internal combustion engine, between the motor generators, and between a reduction gear and a propeller shaft. Corresponding to vehicle speed and required traction force, a program control circuit selectively sets the operating mode suited to running conditions by controlling the engaging and disengaging operations and the phase speed of the motor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
