<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To start a motor-driven liquid pump by switching the rotating direction of the motor-driven liquid pump or restarting with large torque to surely and precisely deal with biting of foreign matter. <P>SOLUTION: A control device 20 of the motor-driven liquid pump 10 for supplying liquid of required pressure from a liquid pump 11 driven by the electric motor 12 to a hydraulic circuit 13 is provided with a micro-computer 21.
