<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-luminescent road stud that requires no adjustment of its lighting direction when it is installed on a road and sufficiently attracts drivers' attention when they approach it. <P>SOLUTION: The self-luminescent road stud 100 comprises a stud body 110 buried under a road surface G, a light transmission member 120 placed on the top of the study body 110, luminescent parts 131, a plurality of luminescent bodies 130 arranged along a circumference X so that, upon energization, light emitted from the luminescent parts 131 may be discharged to outside through the light transmission member 120, and a controller 160 for controlling the energization of the luminescent bodies 130. The controller 160 controls the energization of the luminescent bodies 130 so that, in a plurality of luminescent body groups 130a to 130h each consisting of one or adjacent two or more luminescent bodies, their lighting conditions may shift from one luminescent group to the neighboring one in succession in the direction X1 of the circumference X, and these luminescent groups 130a to 130h may successively flash on and off in turn in the direction X1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
