PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal that can reduce cost by eliminating an LED for indicating battery charging provided on the back surface of a conventional mobile terminal and an indicating method of the battery capacity, and also provide a mobile terminal that can easily inform a user of battery conditions and a method of indicating the battery capacity of the mobile terminal. SOLUTION: When driving the terminal, a detector unit 11 detects the remaining capacity of a battery 10. The CPU 12 rewrites indicating data in a color pallet 14 according to the remaining capacity. The color pallet 14 converts the indicating data into color data to output them to a color liquid crystal display 15, and the color liquid crystal display 15 displays a color pattern according to the color data. Similarly, when the detector unit 11 detects a charging current of the battery 10 at the time of charging, the color liquid crystal display 15 displays the color pattern according to the capacity of the battery 10.
