PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of a cluster system by arranging one auxiliary server for a plurality of working servers, and when a fault is generated in one of the working servers, switching the failed working server to the the auxiliary server by the lead of the auxiliary server. SOLUTION: Each server is provided with an operation setting part, an operation display part, a fault communication part, and a system control part. A plurality of working servers and one or more auxiliary servers are arranged to constitute a cluster system. The working server monitors its own server's fault, and when a fault is generated, reports fault generation to the fault communication part. The auxiliary server monitors the fault communication parts of the working servers, and when the generation of a fault in one of the working servers is confirmed, shuts down the failed working server by the lead of the auxiliary server and switches the failed working server to the auxiliary server itself.
