PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a user against computer viruses contained in an email, while maintaining the merit of being able to browse a plurality of data contained in the email. SOLUTION: This email device comprises a means for selecting a specific email from a list of emails that are stored; a means for analyzing the email selected and presenting its structure to the user; a means for reproducing all the data contained in the email when the selected email is selected again; a means for reproducing data when the specific data contained in the email are selected from the structure of the email; a means for determining whether or not the data contain any computer virus prior to the reproduction; and a means for halting the reproduction of the data if the data contain the computer viruses and informing the user that the data contain the computer viruses.
