PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multivariate detection sensor capable of detecting the multivariate with a single detector, having a simple structure, and to provide a method for identifying a plurality of physical quantities for identifying the objective physical quantity from among the outputs of the sensor by separating corresponding output for the objective physical quantity. SOLUTION: The sensor 1 comprises a capacitor microphone 7 which outputs an electric signal converted from altering static capacity corresponding to displacement of an electret film 11 at one side; a transparent chamber 18 of specific volume which spreads the frequency characteristics towards low frequency side provided with tight seal on another side; a conversion mean of black sponge 19 which converts light and heat propagated via the chamber 18 into pressure and displaces the film 11. The voltage signal corresponding to the plurality of the physical quantities alteration such asstatic pressure, dynamic pressure, sound, acceleration, light, and temperature are acquired, and the physical quantities are discriminated on the basis of a combination of the time serial data of the voltage signal and their frequency characteristics.
