PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric cooker in which a receiving plate is mounted on a flat plate, and steam cooking is carried out by filling the flat plate with water and utilizing the receiving plate for excellent steam cooking without high moisture content. SOLUTION: The electric cooker includes a heater 5, the flat plate 6 mounted on the heater and having a rising wall 7 upwardly inclined and flared on the periphery, the receiving plate 9 having a rising wall 8 upwardly inclined and flared on the periphery and formed with an opening 12 on a bottom wall 11, and a cover body 21. The size of the lower part of the outside of the rising wall of the receiving plate is made larger than that of the lower part of the inside of the rising wall of the flat plate, a space 14 is formed between the bottom walls of the receiving plate and the flat plate, and the space is filled with the water for steam cooking.
