<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air intake and exhaust system capable of satisfactorily keeping purifying performance and giving no discomfort by exhaust to a person around. <P>SOLUTION: This air intake and exhaust system comprises an air purification chamber 10 for sucking and purifying air; and an exhaust chamber 20 for introducing the purified air, which are arranged transversely adjacently to each other within a vertically long casing 2. The exhaust chamber 20 comprises a communication part 21 formed on one vertical end side thereof to communicate with the air purification chamber 10, and a discharge part 22 formed on the side surface of the casing 2 opposed to the communication part 21 to discharge the air to the outside. In this system, a perforated plate 24 for partitioning the communication part 21 from the discharge part 22 within the exhaust chamber 20 is provided so that the flow velocity distribution of the air discharged from the discharge part 22 is substantially uniformed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
