<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To feed paper to a transfer device at almost the same timing at all times without being affected by the shapes of conveyance paths, deformation of paper, etc. <P>SOLUTION: A paper conveyance apparatus for image forming apparatus provided with a plurality of paper conveyance paths and a pair of resist rollers 51 disposed on the downstream side of the junction of the conveyance paths in the direction of paper conveyance, is provided with a movable conveyance guide 60 in a space 53 between the pair of resist rollers 51 and a fixed conveyance guide defining the conveyance paths, the movable conveyance guide 60 being freely swung to guide the paper to a nip area 52 between the pair of resist rollers. This makes it possible to properly guide paper to the nip area 52 whether the paper conveyance paths are curved or paper is curled. Thus, jamming of paper between the resist rollers 51, bend of paper, oblique conveyance of paper, etc., are prevented and, further, the timing of feed of paper to the transfer device can be kept almost constant. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
