INJECTION MOLDING MACHINE AND CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injection molding machine capable of using a motor with rated torque smaller than before as the drive source of an injection screw at the time of metering, and a control method therefor. SOLUTION: The injection screw 13 is incorporated in a heating barrel 11 and a raw material supply device 20 is connected to the vicinity of the rear end of the heating barrel 11. The raw material supply device 20 is equipped with a hopper 24 and a screw feeder 21. A metering servomotor 15 is connected to the rear end part of the injection screw 13 and the torque of the metering servomotor 15 is detected by a torque detector 51 to be sent to a control part 52. The control part 52 uses the detected torque as a feedback signal to control the number of rotations of the screw feeder 21 so that the value of the detected torque coincides with a preset reference value.
