PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve blast efficiency of a thin-shaped fan motor in which vanes of an impeller are formed to have a radial length longer than an axial length. SOLUTION: A plurality of irregularities 35 are formed in radial ends of the vanes 34a of the impeller, which are longer than axial ends, and turbulence is forcibly induced in air flow to facilitate turbulent diffusion. This lowers an amount of occurrence of wakes, reduces aerodynamic noises and improves the blast efficiency. Conventionally, in a sirocco fan or the like, the plurality of irregularities are formed in the axial ends of the vanes to reduce the amount of occurrence of wakes and to improve the blast efficiency. In case of the thin-shaped fan which is longer in the axial direction than in the radial direction, improvement of the blast efficiency can not be expected much even if the plurality of irregularities are formed in outer peripheral ends of the vanes.
