PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sash window capable of enhancing watertight performance of a barrier-free type window sill. SOLUTION: Since a rail part 125 and upper ends of side wall parts 30, 128 and 129 are provided in almost flush positions, a barrier-free type window with a flat top surface of the sill 12 can be constituted. An airtight material is interposed between the side wall parts 30 and 128 and an indoor-side suspended piece 172 of a bottom rail 17, so that an airtight line can be formed. Indoor-side and outdoor-side spaces 35A, 35B, 36A and 36B in the lateral direction of a rail communicate with an outdoor space, and communicate with spaces 37A and 37B above the rail via a gap in the lateral direction of the suspended piece 172. Thus, since the elimination of a difference between air pressures of the respective spaces hardly causes movement of rainwater etc. between the respective spaces due to the difference between the air pressures, the rainwater etc. can be prevented from invading the indoor-side spaces 36A and 36B, and the watertight performance can be enhanced.
