EVAPORATING FUEL TREATMENT DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly detect a failure generating inside an evaporating fuel treatment device equipped with a canister. SOLUTION: A main canister 18 and a sub canister 51 for adsorbing evaporating fuel are provided. A heater 20 for heating the main canister and a sub heater 52 for heating the sub canister 51 are provided. Air flow passing through the main canister 18 or air flow passing through the sub canister 51 is generated by using a purge pump 16 or suction negative pressure. Relation between temperature and generated heat of the heater 20 and the sub canister 51 is detected. If the relation is not a predicted relation, occurrence of a failure is determined.
