PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To install a display panel on a bus stop to display next starting bus information such as the destinations, scheduled arrival time, congestion states and the number of passengers intending to get off on the display panel. SOLUTION: The system for grasping the number of passengers intending to getting on/off comprises: a bus 1 provided with an reader for reading out the information of a passenger ticket 3 with an IC tag which is carried by each passenger and a transceiver; a bus operation management center 5 provided with a management sever 6, a DB 7, etc.; a display panel installed in each bus stop; and a communication line connecting between the bus and each display panel and is constituted so that boarding section information is read out from a ticket with an IC tag which is carried by each passenger when the passenger gets off at a bus stop A, information obtained by adding bus ID to the read information is transmitted to the bus operation management center 5, the management server 6, on the basis of the obtained information, prepares next starting bus information to be displayed on the display panel 11 of the next bus stop B and transmits the prepared information to the display panel to display it.
