PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out secured efficient remote management of a management objective device connected to a closed area network such as a LAN via a wide area network such as the Internet. SOLUTION: When a master agent 22 arranged in a remote gateway 20 autonomously and periodically acquires condition information of a plurality of management objective devices 10 connected to the closed area network 100 from a management agent 11 and stores them in packets to transmit them to a management network 300 via a fire wall 21, conditions of the management objective devices 10 can be monitored from the management network 300 side. Upon receipt of a management command from the management network 300, the master agent 22 transmits the management command to the management agent 11 of the management objective devices 10.
